The founder- Rafaela Pestritu, a Central Saint Martins alum, launched her brand as a response to conventional fashion norms and stereotypes. She uses clothing as a medium to address pressing environmental and political issues while simultaneously celebrating individuality.

Rafaela Pestritu is a fusion of Balkan storytelling and modern innovation, rooted in the contrast of resilience and glamour. It’s defined by its focus on creating illusions through techniques like trompe l’oeil, embroidery, patchwork, while giving new life to discarded materials through sustainable practices. With production based in London and Bucharest, my brand reflects a commitment to craftsmanship, cultural identity, and environmental responsibility.
